Six years ago, we bought a paper archive of one of the most dedicated Dutch football fans the country knows today.
ARCHIVE OF SPORTS DATA: FROM THE START OF PROFESSIONAL SOCCER
Since the beginning of Dutch professional football, mr. Janssen wrote down every event you can think off in paper notebooks. From the start of professional football in 1954, he gathered all the data there was available at the time, creating a massive collection of notebooks you have ever seen. Every holiday was scheduled in between seasons of competition.
Data
More than 30 students and professionals have spent the last six months to read the notebooks and putting this information into our database.
By the end of January of 2018, we are able to provide media, clubs and other interested parties with all match and league data from the Dutch 1st and 2nd league.
